Use of artificial intelligence (AI)
Blockfinance AG uses AI systems as working tools and discloses this. We align our use of AI voluntarily and in advance with Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 on artificial intelligence (the "AI Act") – in particular the transparency obligations of Art. 50 and AI literacy under Art. 4 – so that we are prepared when it also applies in Liechtenstein.
Which AI we use
- Mostly internal AI: Most of our AI work is done by models we run ourselves on our own infrastructure (our own NVIDIA GPU servers) – for example for IT operations and monitoring, software development and the analysis of technical data. The data processed there does not leave our infrastructure.
- Additionally, external AI: AI services of third-party providers (in particular large language models), for example for software development, research, and drafting and translating text.
- External providers at present: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI and xAI – providers based in the USA.
Principles
- Human responsibility: AI output is reviewed by people, who remain responsible for it. We do not take decisions with legal or similarly significant effect on individuals by solely automated means (Art. 22 GDPR).
- Labelling: If you communicate directly with an AI system of ours, or if we publish AI-generated or AI-manipulated image, audio or video content, we label it clearly. This website contains no chatbot and no AI-generated media; its texts were drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by us.
- No prohibited or high-risk uses: We do not use AI for practices prohibited by Art. 5 of the AI Act and, in our assessment, operate no high-risk AI systems within the meaning of the Regulation.
- Data protection: We enter personal data into external AI services only where necessary and permitted by data protection law; otherwise the privacy policy above applies.
- AI literacy: Everyone who works with AI at our company takes part in weekly training, which includes regular discussion of the ethical questions of using AI.
